May 4, 2008 - Sacramento, California At today’s opening of the American Jail Association (AJA) Conference in Sacramento, Dataspace will launch its web-based JPAS™ (Jail Population Analysis System) offering. JPAS is a cost-effective analysis tool that gathers existing jail system data, generates reports and analyses, and lets users easily create custom reports so that criminal justice officials can proactively manage jail populations. JPASonline is accessible 24x7 from any web-connected computer.
“Dataspace is pleased to introduce our online jail population analysis system at today’s opening of the prestigious AJA Conference,” said Benjamin Taub, President and Founder of Dataspace. “Criminal justice officials can currently request information from jail booking systems,” said Taub, “but what they receive - usually more slowly than they would like - is raw data. JPAS configures this data in such a way that it can be successfully used to make substantiated decisions regarding potential jail overcrowding situations.”
The American Jail Association (AJA) is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting those who work in and operate jail systems. The AJA’s 27th Annual Training Conference and Jail Expo runs today through May 6th at the Sacramento Convention Center in Sacramento, California.
“Building on our experience in both county jails and large corporations, Dataspace developed JPAS to apply the concepts of business intelligence to one of the nation’s most pressing issues,” said Taub. Anyone interested in learning how JPAS helps to manage jail populations is invited to visit Dataspace in Booth #732 at the AJA Training Conference, visit www.JPASonline.com or contact the JPAS team at 888-761-6371.
